Welcome to, the personal homepage of Brandon Purcell. I started building many, many years ago to share information I ran across everyday in my role as a Support Engineer and Consultant for Macromedia/Adobe. As a support engineer and consultant I always had a lot to blog about but as I moved into managment roles at Adobe my technical content dwindled.

I currently work as the Director of Technology for Universal Mind. My primary responsiblity is managing the SpatialKey project and it has been an amazing experience. I have been spending a lot of time working with Amazon Ec2 and will share my experiences through the blog in the future. I truly believe that Cloud Computing is the IT platform of the future and we have built the SpatialKey architecture on top of Ec2.

Hi Brandon,

I am setting one cluster with 2 instances with Jboss3.2.4/Tomcat5.0.19, and I am not able to make the session replication work. Could you give any advice?

thanks. --------------------

----------------------- From the message, seems the session objects in Coldfusion need to be Serializabled. In another application which are Java codes, the same message came out before, after I changed the codes to make those session objects serializable, the problem solved, but in Coldfusion seems different.

From one article ( <>), we would know that we are using CFMX for J2EE Phase II, which it supports serializable ColdFusion session data.

From your article (How to set CFMX session replicaiton on JRUN), there is nowhere mentioning about how to make session object serializable in source codes, it gives me the idea that CFMX for J2EE Phase II has set all session object serializable.

hi could you give me some advise, when i use tomcat5.X flex session can't work with tomcat.if i use jrun ,everything is fine. both i use flex update2 and flex bate1.5,the program still happen.(no service mane /samples) please help me !!
